ICYMI at GlassBuild Connect: Design Trend Forecast, Code Update, Installer Demo

In its first week of programming, GlassBuild Connect presented more than 20 educational webinars and demo videos. Top clicked items included the New Normal of Design and Construction panel, the Glass & Glazing Technical and Codes Update, and the opening day roundtable.

Check out the highlights:

The New Normal of Design and Construction

The coronavirus “irreversibly changed how building occupants will enter, navigate and occupy building interiors,” said panelist Domenic Cristofaro, HED Design, during this AIA-accredited session. Looking forward, preventing disease transmission will be foremost in the mindset of design professionals, building owners and regulatory agencies. Glass will be used more frequently as barriers not only at points of service, but within office spaces themselves. Gone are the days of the over-densification of commercial office buildings, he says.

Glass & Glazing Technical and Codes Update

Hear from the National Glass Association’s technical and advocacy team on the need-to-know updates to energy and safety codes, as well as updates on what's happening at other standard-setting bodies including ASTM and ASHRAE, plus a summary of the technical work that's been accomplished by NGA's members volunteers over the past six months. Watch the webinar.

Inside the Install: Solo Hinged Tub Screen Installation
