Jill Foxworth, Owner of Dependable Glass Works, Passes Away

Jill Renee Foxworth, owner of Dependable Glass Works, passed away late Sunday evening Sept. 12, according to her published obituary.

After graduating college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985, Foxworth began working alongside her father, where the two of them together grew Dependable Glass Works Inc. into one of the largest private manufacturing glass companies in southern United States.

For many years Foxworth was active in the downtown Covington, Louisiana, business district and her success led to her being chosen to participate and contribute to business leader projects by the State of Louisiana.

While being a devoted partner, daughter, sister and aunt, Foxworth was never one to sit idle. She lived life to the fullest, whether that involved her traveling numerous times to Canada to fish, traveling to Africa to climb and successfully summit Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009 and Mount Machu Picchu in 2012. She loved biking the Abita trail and was an active artist working with clay, creating one of a kind pottery and also designing, creating and selling handmade leather purses.

Foxworth is survived by her long-time life partner Willford Watts, her father J.A."Norman" Foxworth, her brother John A. Foxworth, Jr., and others.

The family prefers that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to First Baptist Church of Covington Young At Heart Program, 16333 Hwy 1085, Covington, Louisiana 70433. E.J.
