decarbXpo will Showcase Power-to-X Technologies

The Expo for Decarbonized Industries > Energy Storage, also known as the decarbXpo, will showcase Power-to-X technologies and products, which allow for power conversion. The Mechanical Engineering Industry Association, or VDMA, Power-to-X for applications work group will be in charge of bringing these innovations to the show. The event will take place concurrent with glasstec, to be held Sept. 20-22 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, by show organizer Messe Düsseldorf.

The Mechanical Engineering Industry Association, or VDMA, will contribute its expertise and industry contacts to strengthen the trade fair’s green hydrogen and Power-to-X offerings. Power-to-X for applications will be involved in a number of ways, including shaping the decarbXpo trade fair’s program and forums, and will also be present at the trade fair with its own stand.

Hydrogen and P2X technologies crucial for industrial decarbonization

The VDMA has been a partner of numerous industrial goods trade fairs at the Düsseldorf location for years, including the world’s leading trade shows for energy-intensive industries such as glass and metal production. “The new partnership shows that the machinery and plant engineering sector takes its responsibility for climate neutrality in industry seriously. The Power-to-X technologies presented at decarbXpo are a crucial element in reducing CO2 emissions in energy-intensive fields of application in the industry. The trade fair thus contributes significantly to the implementation of greenhouse gas reduction targets,” says Peter Müller-Baum, managing director of Power-to-X for applications.

The decarbXpo cooperates with various trade fairs, bringing storage providers and energy efficiency experts together with industrial and commercial storage technology users. “The cooperation with VDMA is an excellent addition to our existing partnerships in the industry, as it strengthens the trade fair’s hydrogen and Power-to-X segment quite decisively,” says Bernd Jablonowski, executive director at Messe Düsseldorf.

New opportunities for machinery construction

“The machine and plant engineering sector is developing necessary and sustainable technologies to counteract climate change. Converting green electricity into other energy carriers via Power-to-X is a key technology that will help the industry and the traffic sector become climate neutral, which is a significant contribution. In their function as energy storage systems, hydrogen and other Power-to-X solutions furthermore contribute to securing the energy sector’s supply,” explains Peter Müller-Baum.

“With Messe Düsseldorf and the Expo for Decarbonised Industries > Energy Storage, we have now found a strong partner with whom we can develop a corresponding trade fair.”
